The Danish football Association is looking forward to fighting the next Michael Laudrup. Now, it’s Denmark’s turn to try. Their previous best finish came in 1992, where they were knocked out in the semi-finals by eventual winners Italy. Michael Laudrup's son, Andreas Laudrup scored two times to give his side a victory that helped them rise in the table. Atle Roar Haland's equaliser earned second-placed Odense a point in a 1-1 draw against third-spotted Brondby in the SAS-Liga.

However, Haland restored parity seven minutes before the break to keep Odense four points ahead of Brondby.
