LAUDRUP SIGNS YEUNG

The manager of Swansea City, Michael Laudrup, has confirmed the signing of the South Korean midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng. Swansea city has bought him from Celtic after paying a record transfer fee of 5.5 million pounds.

Yueng has joined the club on a contract of 3 years. After signing for Swansea, Yueng said that he has been following the matches of Swansea since the last few years. It is a very good team and he is very happy to be a part of the Swansea camp.

As per Yueng, Michael Laudrup was one of his childhood heroes. He was fascinated by Laudrup’s playing style when he was young. He couldn’t have missed the opportunity to work under the guidance of Laudrup. So, when he got the offer to sign for Swansea, he immediately accepted the offer. Yueng also said that it has been his dream since childhood to play in the Premier League and he can’t wait to make his debut in the Premier League.

Yueng had been playing for Celtic since the last 3 years. He had joined the club in December 2009. He played his first match for Celtic against Falkirk in January 2010. He netted his first goal for Celtic in a match of the Scottish Premier League against St. Mirren. Yueng’s performance was emphatic in the last season. The manager of Celtic, Neil Lennon, had praised him a lot after his superb performance in the match against Hibernian in the last season. Lennon had said that Yueng has all the qualities to become a great player. He is a quick learner and he is improving day by day. He would be a superstar in the future.

After signing Yueng, Laudrup said that Yueng’s playing style is a bit different, but, very effective. He gave some impressive performances during his tenure at Celtic and Swansea has massive hopes with this flamboyant South Korean player.
