LAUDRUP PREPARES FOR LIFE

The Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has said that he is already preparing for life without the influential midfielder Joe Allen, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool in order to link up with the former Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers.

It is usually the practice of managers to take a few players along with them from their previous clubs. The former Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers has been linked with a number of Swansea players in the last few weeks. Joe Allen has emerged as the main transfer targets for Liverpool and Michael Laudrup has confirmed that he is resigned to losing the midfielder.

It is expected that Joe Allen will cost Liverpool around £ 15 million, which can then be invested by Swansea in various other players. Michael Laudrup has said that it would be the best interests of both parties concerned if they were to allow Joe Allen leave the club if Liverpool managed to agree a transfer fee with the Welsh club. The club have already looked at the possibility of replacing Joe Allen after they have signed the former Rayo Vallecano midfielder Michu for just £ 2 million. Laudrup also revealed that he will not be making a move for the Bolton midfielder Mark Davies.

“We have to be preparing for everything. It’s not only in this case with Joe Allen but each position in the team. You have to think about the future. But we have not had any contact from Liverpool on Joe. It’s a fantastic signing. He was a big difference for Vallecano with his goals,” said the new Swansea manager Michael Laudrup, who opened his account with his new club with a victory in the first pre-season friendly, on the official website of the club. Brendan Rodgers recently confirmed his interest in the midfielder Joe Allen.
