LAUDRUP CAN'T SEE MOURINHO RETURN

Former Real Madrid star Michael Laudrup has said that he does not see current Real Madrid manager José Mourinho returning to Chelsea in the summer.

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has been linked with a return back to Chelsea and English football in the summer for a long time now. He was recently spotted in London purchasing houses, but it is not known whether these were for investment purposes or for his personal use.

So far, José Mourinho has failed to stamp on the speculation over his future, but Michael Laudrup has been quick to suggest that he does not see José Mourinho returning to Chelsea this summer. The Euro football betting markets back up the Danish legend, with Mourinho at over 10/1 to take over the Stamford Bridge hotseat once more.

Chelsea recently sacked manager Andre Villas-Boas after a run of poor results, which has seen the club go as low as the fifth position in the Premier League table. In the entire Roman Abramovich era, Chelsea have not finished lower than the third position in the table and it did not take long for Roman Abramovich to sanction the sacking of the manager, even though Chelsea paid £ 13 million in the summer to acquire his services from FC Porto.

José Mourinho, along with Barcelona manager Guardiola, is one of the high-profile managers being linked with the Chelsea managerial job in the summer.

"They are in a moment of transition and they will have to change some of the older players. And some of those older players were some of the key players when Mourinho was last at Chelsea. So you have your key players, you leave, and then you come back and tell your ex-key players: 'I'm sorry, now you have to leave. I have to build a new team.' I don't believe that," Laudrup told Betfair Sports Betting when asked about the possibility of José Mourinho returning to Chelsea.
