INTER MILAN EYE TOTTENHAM ACE

Inter Milan are reportedly interested in the services of Denmark ace Christian Eriksen. Eriksen has garnered attention in the past few months due to his contract situation at Tottenham. The 28-year-old is currently in the final years of his contract with the club and has refused to sign a new deal.

It is thought that Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte believes that the club are a quality midfielder away from challenging for the Serie A title. The defeat at home to Italian Champions Juventus has made Conte evaluate his options and the midfield was the weak area of the club during the game.

Eriksen is seen as a player with the workrate and ability to make the difference for Inter Milan. Eriksen is one of the few Danish midfielders to have made an imprint in European football. Similar to his predecessor Michael Laudrup, Eriksen is able to dictate the tempo of games with his passing ability.

He is also a setpiece expert with a keen ability to score exceptional goals from distance. During the run to the 2018 World Cup.Eriksen was the top goalscorer for his country scoring a crucial hattrick in the playoffs against Ireland.
It would be a nice move for Inter Milan if they can secure the signature of the player on a reduced fee in January or on a Bosman deal in the summer.

He would be a great compliment for Nicola Barella and Brozovic in the midfield. Meanwhile, Conte’s attention will be back to the Serie A as Inter Milan have a fight on their hands if they are to end the eight-year dominance of Turin giants.
They will be looking to return back to the form that saw the club win their opening 6 games of the season.
